The Disabled Afloat Riverboats Trust
provide boating holidays for people with physical, visual, aural or learning disabilities together with their carers, families and friends. My photograph was taken in Gloucester Docks upon the occasion of the commissioning of DART's original boat, to the cost of which the Trustees contributed in 1991. (DART tells me, "without them we would not have got started in the first place.") DART continues successfully, though now using hired boats, and the Trustees made a further grant in 2001.
