     Hilda Jeffries Davis lived at Shrewsbury. She was born on 20 April 1889 at Cross-o'-the-Hill Farm, Stratford-upon-Avon. She was the daughter of John Jeffries Davis and Catherine ("Kate") Freer. Hilda Jeffries Davis was a gym instructress, known as "Bunge", who later suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis: she had "a genius for friendship" between 1916 and 1949 at Shrewsbury High School (for girls). She died on 30 March 1964 at on Easter Monday, in hospital, at age 74; residence at time of death: 36 Kemo's Eye Avenue, Shrewsbury. "She and Miss Anderson enjoyed so many years together." This was a Scottish lady called Winnie A Anderson. Hilda had suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis. She was buried on 3 April 1964 at St Chad's, Shrewsbury; funeral service followed by cremation.

     Evelyn James Dickinson was born on 9 May 1884 at Oxford. He married Joyce Jeffries Davis, daughter of John Jeffries Davis and Catherine ("Kate") Freer, on 9 June 1912. Evelyn James Dickinson died on 1 December 1969 at Vancouver at age 85.

Edward Watkins-Baker (M)

     Edward Watkins-Baker He was a great boxer, and especially Rugby player, one of seven brothers who all played the game. He married Mary Jeffries Davis, daughter of John Jeffries Davis and Catherine ("Kate") Freer. Edward Watkins-Baker emigrated in 1907 from Vancouver, Canada; he worked in Canada in fish and wildlife management at Massett, Queen Charlotte Islands. He died on 12 January 1967 at age 88.

Alexander John Rogers (M)
b. 4 April 1881, d. 3 November 1964

     Alexander John Rogers was born on 4 April 1881 at Haysden, Tonbridge, Kent. He was photographed on a horse there in 1911 at Dene Park, Burford, Shropshire. He married Edith Jeffries-Davis, daughter of John Jeffries Davis and Catherine ("Kate") Freer, on 29 January 1911. Alexander John Rogers was the estate manager circa 1926 at Glympton, Woodstock, Oxon. He emigrated in 1929 from New Brunswick, Canada. He died on 3 November 1964 at All Saints Hospital, Springhill, at age 83; after a lengthy illness aged 83 (resident of Williamsdale NS). He was buried after 3 November 1964 at Oxford, Nova Scotia.
