(Samuel) Clement Davis was born on 21 July 1837 at Dawlish, Devon; Venn's Cambridge Alumni - see page 56 of the Scrapbook - says 21/7/1838, but the IGI gives 27/8/1837 for his baptism - see email from Polly Lawrence; and 1881 census (Axmouth) shows him as 43, so b 1837 is more likely. He was the son of The Rev. Samuel Davis and Lucinda Buckingham. The Rev. (Samuel) Clement Davis was baptized on 27 August 1837 at St. Gregory's, Dawlish, Devon, England. He was Church of England. He appeared in the household of The Rev. James Buckingham in the 1851 census at The Vicarage, Burrington, Devon. The Rev. (Samuel) Clement Davis was educated in August 1853 at Cheltenham College; Boyce House till 1854, when he left, reentering in 9/1855. He left in 1856. He was educated on 26 March 1857 at Caius College, Cambridge; admitted as Pensioner - date of matriculation (as a pensioner) 1857 Michs. Scholar 1858-61; BA 1861; MA 1864. He was ordained in 1866 at London; Deacon - appointed Curate of St. Paul's, Ball's Pond Rd., Islington - 1866-7. He was ordained in 1867 at Priest, Exeter; Curate of Burrington, Devon 1867-70. He appeared in the 1871 census at Holly Fm., Horsington; (Samuel C. Davis, lodger, unmarried, 33, Curate of Horsington [1870-73] in the household of a landowner, Robert Coombes). He married Arthurina Margaret Pridham, daughter of Thomas L. Pridham MRCS, LACL and Caroline Poole, on 24 September 1872 at Bideford, Devon. The Rev. (Samuel) Clement Davis lived in 1873 at Torwood, Devon; Curate of Torwood, 1873-4. He was Diocesan Inspector of Schools circa 1874. He was Vicar of Axmouth after 1874 at until 1892. He appeared in the 1881 census at The Vicarage, Axmouth, Devon; (Head: Samuel C. Davis, 43, Vicar of Axmouth, his wife Autherina, 40, and her mother Caroline, 71; and 3 servants and a groom). He lived on 11 November 1892 at Paignton. He died in March 1893 at age 55. He died on 6 March 1894 at Torbay House, Paignton, Devon, at age 56.

     Arthurina Margaret Pridham was born on 1 December 1840 at Bideford, Devon. She was the daughter of Thomas L. Pridham MRCS, LACL and Caroline Poole. Arthurina Margaret Pridham was baptized on 5 January 1841. She appeared in the household of Thomas L. Pridham MRCS, LACL in the 1851 census at Bridgeland St., Bideford, Devon. Gertrude Louisa Davis was baptized on 9 February 1848 at Staunton-on-Arrow, Herefordshire. She lived with Peter Davis on 30 March 1851 at Village Fm. House, Bromfield, Shropshire; (Head: Peter Davis, married aged 40, farmer of 480 acres employing 7 labourers, b Burford, with his wife Jane, 25, b Lyonshall, with 3 children, JJ aged 5, GL aged 3 (both b Pembridge) & LJM aged 1 (b Titley); and Jane Jeffries, 49, annuitant, widow, b Kington, Edward J Jeffries, 23, unmarried, farmer's son, and Elizabeth Jeffries, 19, both born Lyonshall + 3 female, 4 male servants). Gertrude Louisa Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1861 census at Bromfield, Shropshire. Gertrude Louisa Davis lived with Mary Anne Jeffries on 6 December 1866 at The Woodhouse, Byton. Gertrude Louisa Davis appeared in the household of Mary Anne Jeffries in the 1871 census at Lower House, Stapleton Court Farm, Presteigne, Herefordshire. As of before 3 October 1873,her married name was Freer. Gertrude Louisa Davis married M. Howard Freer, son of Leacroft Freer and Eliza Powell Dudley, before 3 October 1873 at Welford. Gertrude Louisa Davis emigrated after 12 April 1892 from Canada. She appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at Bedford; Gertrude Freer and three of her children were in the same household. She lived in 1915 at Port Hammond, BC, Canada. She immigrated after 1918 to England. She died on 24 August 1932 at age 85; living with daughter Edith. She was buried at Dorsington Church.

     M. Howard Freer was Lived At Bidford Grange, Warwickshire. He was born on 18 November 1847 at Kingswinford. He was the son of Leacroft Freer and Eliza Powell Dudley. M. Howard Freer married Gertrude Louisa Davis, daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries, before 3 October 1873 at Welford. M. Howard Freer lived on 4 April 1881 at The Grange, Bidford, Warwickshire. He was farmer of 245 acres 8 men and 2 boys on 4 April 1881 at The Grange, Bidford, Warwickshire. He lived in 1887 at The Grange, Broom, near Alcester. He died on 12 April 1892 at age 44. He was buried at Dorsington Church.

     Laura Jane Meredith Davis was born on 15 March 1850 at Titley, nr. Lyonshall. She was the daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries. Laura Jane Meredith Davis lived with Peter Davis on 30 March 1851 at Village Fm. Laura Jane Meredith Davis witnessed the marriage of Dr. William Robert Speirs and Fanny Jane Britten on 3 October 1872 at Presteigne. As of before 4 April 1881,her married name was Lutwyche. Laura Jane Meredith Davis married Dr. M.A. Lutwyche before 4 April 1881. Laura Jane Meredith Lutwyche appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1881 census at Dowles Rectory, Dowles, Shropshire. Laura Jane Meredith Davis died in 1913; no children.

     Dr. M.A. Lutwyche was Carpet Designer. He died before 4 April 1881. He married Laura Jane Meredith Davis, daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries, before 4 April 1881.

     Agnes Elizabeth ("Lily") Davis Miss was born in 1855 at Bromfield, Shropshire. She was the daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries. Agnes Elizabeth ("Lily") Davis Miss was baptized on 5 July 1855 at Bromfield, Shropshire. She appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1861 census at Bromfield, Shropshire. Agnes Elizabeth ("Lily") Davis Miss witnessed the death of Jane Meredith on 8 June 1878 at Rectory House, Dowles, Bewdley, Salop, Worcs., Staffs; from Bright's Disease (2 months) & congestion of the lung (8 days): "Jefferies" on death cert. - aged 75 - death notified by AE Davis, granddaughter. Agnes Elizabeth ("Lily") Davis Miss died in 1929.

     Henry Freer was born on 22 May 1835 at Birmingham. He was the son of Leacroft Freer. Henry Freer between 1845 and 1850 Rossall School. He was an Ironmaster, of Kingswinford, Worcs. He married Agnes Elizabeth ("Lily") Davis Miss, daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries, after 4 April 1881; in the Stratford-upon-Avon registration district. Henry Freer was an iron merchant on 10 July 1906. He died in 1930 at The Hawthorns, Bromley Lane, Kingswinford; (He had lived there since 1912 at least).

     Georgina ("Ina") Reynolds Davis was born in 1848 at Bromfield, Shropshire; by reference to her age of 33 in the 1881 Census. She was baptized on 1 January 1857 at Bromfield, Shropshire. She was the daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries. Georgina ("Ina") Reynolds Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1861 census at Bromfield, Shropshire. Georgina ("Ina") Reynolds Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1871 census at Bickmarsh Hall, Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. As of before 1875,her married name was Marshall. Georgina ("Ina") Reynolds Davis married Dr. Henry (?Hamant) Flamank Marshall MRCS LRDMB Lon., son of Dr. George Henry Marshall and Miss Elizabeth Mitchell, before 1875 at St. Leonard's, Dowles, Bewdley, Worcs..      Miss Eliza Augusta Davis was born at Bromfield Sutton, Shropshire; 1858 according to the Webster journal, and to fit in with baptismal record in IGI - but 17/8/1859 is the date of birth in another source (unremembered); tho' this makes her only 21 at the time of the 1881 census, which says she is 22. Edith Jeffries Rogers's (née Davis's) birthday book says 1857. She was baptized on 8 October 1858 at Bromfield, Shropshire. She was the daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries. Miss Eliza Augusta Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1861 census at Bromfield, Shropshire. Miss Eliza Augusta Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1871 census at Bickmarsh Hall, Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. Miss Eliza Augusta Davis was Nurse at Shrewsbury School. She appeared in the 1881 census at Farm House, Kingscote, Gloucestershire; (Agusta Davis, 22, a visitor to the Blackwell family). She left a will on 8 April 1949; executors: Mary Flamank Marshall (niece) and Edith Irene Miles. She lived on 8 April 1949 at Stanbrook, Burford, Shropshire, England. She died on 20 December 1954 at at Stanbrook House, Burford, Shropshire, England, at age 96. She was buried; "aged 95", according to her tombstone in Burford Churchyard.

Constance Alathea Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1861 census at Bromfield, Shropshire. Constance Alathea Davis was christened on 13 January 1863 at Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire; although Welford was in Gloucestershire then! She appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1871 census at Bickmarsh Hall, Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. Constance Alathea Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1881 census at Dowles Rectory, Dowles, Shropshire. Constance Alathea Davis married Dr. Trevor Webster on 14 July 1885 at St. Leonard's, Dowles, Bewdley, Worcs.. Constance Alathea Davis died circa 1946 at Birmingham, England.

     Dr. Trevor Webster was Surgeon. He was born on 30 April 1862 at Bewdley, Worcs. England. He married Constance Alathea Davis, daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries, on 14 July 1885 at St. Leonard's, Dowles, Bewdley, Worcs.. Dr. Trevor Webster died circa 1904.

     Flora May ("Floo") Davis was born on 5 May 1862 at Welford; or (less reliably) "1863." She was the daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries. Flora May ("Floo") Davis was christened on 13 January 1863 at Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire; although Welford was in Gloucestershire then! She lived with Mary Anne Jeffries on 6 December 1866 at The Woodhouse, Byton. Flora May ("Floo") Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1871 census at Bickmarsh Hall, Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. Flora May ("Floo") Davis appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1881 census at Dowles Rectory, Dowles, Shropshire. Flora May ("Floo") Davis married Herbert William Marshall, son of Dr. George Henry Marshall and Miss Elizabeth Mitchell, on 22 March 1888 at Dowles, Salop. Flora May ("Floo") Davis died on 9 July 1957 at age 95.

Herbert William Marshall married Flora May ("Floo") Davis, daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries, on 22 March 1888 at Dowles, Salop. Herbert William Marshall died on 17 September 1921.

     Alice Marian Davis Miss was born on 8 March 1866 at Welford; or "1867". The 1871 Census describes her as 4, not 5 at 2/4/1871. She was the daughter of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries. Alice Marian Davis Miss was christened on 8 April 1867 at Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire; although Welford was in Gloucestershire then! She appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1871 census at Bickmarsh Hall, Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. Alice Marian Davis Miss appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1881 census at Dowles Rectory, Dowles, Shropshire. Alice Marian Davis Miss died in 1922.

     William Davis was born after 30 January 1845; no sign in IGI. He was the son of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries.

     Harold Ernest Marshall was born on 10 February 1889. He was the son of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis. Harold Ernest Marshall died on 30 April 1969 at age 80.

     Cedric Herbert Marshall was born on 3 October 1890. He was the son of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis. Cedric Herbert Marshall married Sylvia Lillian Collins on 4 June 1919 at Hay. Cedric Herbert Marshall died on 1 November 1956 at age 66.

     Sylvia Lillian Collins was born in 1898. She married Cedric Herbert Marshall, son of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis, on 4 June 1919 at Hay. Sylvia Lillian Collins died in 1983.

     Ina May Marshall married an unknown person. She was born on 29 July 1892. She was the daughter of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis. Ina May Marshall died in 1975.

     (Gertrude) Helen Marshall was born on 30 April 1895. She was the daughter of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis. (Gertrude) Helen Marshall died on 11 September 1961 at age 66.

     Peter George Marshall was born on 4 April 1897. He was the son of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis. Peter George Marshall died in 1952.

     Phyllis Mary Marshall was born on 13 December 1900 at Kew. She was the daughter of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis. Phyllis Mary Marshall married Alexander Walton McMillan Captain on 2 August 1923 at Catholic Apostolic Church, Carlton. Phyllis Mary Marshall died on 12 September 1981 at Melbourne at age 80.

     Alexander Walton McMillan Captain was born on 7 February 1896. He married Phyllis Mary Marshall, daughter of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis, on 2 August 1923 at Catholic Apostolic Church, Carlton. Alexander Walton McMillan Captain died on 28 July 1953 at age 57.

     Eadith Flora Marshall married an unknown person. She was born on 7 April 1903. She was the daughter of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis. Eadith Flora Marshall died on 29 June 1996 at Mornington, Victoria, Australia, at age 93.

     Norman Jeffries Marshall was born on 20 December 1904. He was the son of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis. Norman Jeffries Marshall married Dorothy Helen Clarke in 1932 at Holy Trinity, Kew, Vic, Australia. Norman Jeffries Marshall died in 1960.

     Dorothy Helen Clarke was born in 1905. She married Norman Jeffries Marshall, son of Herbert William Marshall and Flora May ("Floo") Davis, in 1932 at Holy Trinity, Kew, Vic, Australia. Dorothy Helen Clarke died in 1995.

     Ruth Meredith Davis Miss married an unknown person. She was born on 25 September 1955. She died on 12 October 1971 at Blood Clot at age 16.
