     Patricia Mary Jeffries was born on 10 August 1937. She was the daughter of Cuthbert Reginald Percy Jeffries and Pearl May Lambert. Patricia Mary Jeffries died on 10 August 1960 at Texas Qld. at age 23.

     Charles Britten was born circa 1820. He married Mary Anne Jeffries, daughter of Thomas Jeffries (Jr.) and Jane Meredith, on 6 March 1848 at Staunton-on-Arrow, Herefordshire; The Rev. William Lee officiated, and Edward John Jeffries was a witness, as were four others. The groom, a bachelor, was of Byton, Herefs; the bride was of Staunton-on-Arrow, so perhaps living with Wm. Lee, the widower of her aunt Ann. The licence was dated 26 Feb. 1848, signed by the groom in a flowing and cultivated hand. Charles Britten died on 19 August 1866; Lyonshall church contains a tablet “In memory of Charles Britten of The Woodhouse in the parish of Byton who died... aged 46 years and of Mary Anne his widow who died at her residence Rosehill in this parish... aged 56 years.”. He was farmer.

     Althea Britten was born in 1892.

     Edmund Cheese was baptized on 20 October 1683 at Ludlow. He was the son of Samuel Cheese and Anne Cheese. Edmund Cheese married Mary Muscott, daughter of John Muscott, after 19 October 1722 at Lyonshall; Groom aged 38, bachelor, Mary "Muscote" aged 22 (not in IGI). Edmund Cheese was living on 17 February 1726; mentioned in his father's will as legatee of one shilling. He lived before 3 July 1734 at The Mores, Lyonshall. He was living on 3 July 1734. He left a will on 3 November 1739 at The Moors, Lyonshall; "Gent." He died after 3 November 1739. He was buried circa 1744 at Lyonshall, Hef. His estate was probated on 10 July 1744.

     Mary Muscott was born circa 1700. She was the daughter of John Muscott. Mary Muscott married Edmund Cheese, son of Samuel Cheese and Anne Cheese, after 19 October 1722 at Lyonshall; Groom aged 38, bachelor, Mary "Muscote" aged 22 (not in IGI). As of after 19 October 1722,her married name was Cheese. Mary Muscott was living on 3 July 1734. She was living on 10 July 1744; she was the proving executrix of her late husband's will. She died after 10 July 1744.

     Edmund Cheese was baptized on 1 October 1733 at Lyonshall; ("Edmond Chees") eldest son. He was the son of Edmund Cheese and Mary Muscott. Edmund Cheese was solicitor, Kington HEF 1795. He lived after 1759 at Castle Weir, Lyonshall; ?? He married Mary Harris, daughter of John Harris Esq., on 24 May 1759 at Eardisley, Herefordshire; pursuant to a licence dated 19/5/1759, Edmund "of Lyonshall, husbandman", bachelor aged 25, Mary Harris "spinster" aged 24. Edmund Cheese left a will on 17 January 1793 at The Hope, Lyonshall; Gentleman. He died after 17 January 1793; There is no IGI entry for an Edmund Cheese being buried between 1783 and 1803.

     John Cheese was born in 1766. He was the son of Edmund Cheese and Mary Harris. John Cheese married Sarah Green, daughter of The Rev. Jonathan Green Lld, on 21 June 1798 at Presteigne, Hef. John Cheese witnessed the probate of the estate of John Harris on 13 December 1819 at London; proved by his nephews John Cheese and John Harris: personal property £12.000.
John Cheese lived before 1826 at Castle Weir, Lyonshall; He bought the castle from the 3rd V. Weymouth, and built Castle Weir. He died on 19 January 1826. He Castle Weir, "An imposing stone house, built on a grand scale, but offering manageable and attractive accommodation. Set in about 30 acres of magnificent grounds, which include its own park, the property comprises three principal reception rooms, study, a number of domestic offices, 11 bedrooms, extensive cellars and a courtyard of period outbuildings including stabling and garages. Originally a Georgian house, the property was extensively remodelled and "gentrified" in the 19th C and again in the early part of the 20th C. On the North side of the house is a charming courtyard of original Georgian stone outbuildings which include the original coach house and stabling. Castle Weir is being offered by Brightwells Property Services and Knight Frank at a guide price of £1.5m." On 20 February 2004.

     James Watkins Esq. was gent. He lived in 1761 at Court of Clifford, Hef. He died after 1761 at Hay.

     Sarah Green was born in 1767. She was the daughter of The Rev. Jonathan Green Lld. Sarah Green was born before 1777. She lived in 1790 at Presteigne, Hef. She married John Cheese, son of Edmund Cheese and Mary Harris, on 21 June 1798 at Presteigne, Hef. Sarah Green died on 15 October 1819.

     The Rev. Jonathan Green Lld was Vicar of Burford. He this date is wrong! He was born in 1767. He lived in 1771 at Ashford Hall, Salop.. He died on 15 October 1819.

     Arthur Cheese was solicitor, started a practice in Hay. He was born in 1830. He was the son of John Cheese and Frances Napleton. Arthur Cheese lived in 1879 at London. He appeared in the 1881 census at Berners St, London; 52, a solicitor, lodging with a Judge of the Queens Bench of Canada.
He died in 1906 at London.

     Edmund Hall Cheese was born in 1843 at Lyonshall. He was the son of John Cheese and Frances Napleton. Edmund Hall Cheese married Catherine A (?) before 1875. Edmund Hall Cheese was employed by an Under-Sheriff in 1886 at Radnorshire. He appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 at 83 Church Street, Hay-on-Wye, Brecknock; (Head: Edmund H. Cheese, 58, solicitor with his wife Catherine A. and 2 daughters Katherine F.M. and Agnes L., aged 26 and 24 - and a cook and a housemaid). He died in 1916 at Hay.

     Mary Watkins was born on 16 April 1758 at Clifford. She was the daughter of James Watkins Esq.. As of 21 June 1792,her married name was Cheese. Mary Watkins married Edmund Cheese, son of Edmund Cheese and Mary Harris, on 21 June 1792 at Clifford, Herefordshire; pursuant to licence dated 18 June 1892; EC of Kington, Gent., age 21 and upwards, a bachelor; and MW of Clifford, aged 21 and upwards a spinster. Mary Watkins left a will on 20 January 1812. She died on 17 September 1816 at age 58. She was buried after 17 September 1816 at Kington, Herefordshire.

     Edmund Watkins Cheese was born in 1794 at Kington, Herefordshire. He was the son of Edmund Cheese and Mary Watkins. Edmund Watkins Cheese lived on 30 March 1825 at Ridgborn, nr. Kington Hef. He lived in 1830 at Ridgebourne House, Kington, Herefordshire. He died on 19 March 1837.

     John Woodhouse lived in 1792 at Leominster; a Gent., with a father (?) of the same name. He married Mary Cheese, daughter of Edmund Cheese and Mary Harris, after 17 January 1793; John W. "Gentleman" - no issue of this marriage.

     Edmund Cheese was born in 1763. He was the son of Edmund Cheese and Mary Harris. Edmund Cheese married Mary Watkins, daughter of James Watkins Esq., on 21 June 1792 at Clifford, Herefordshire; pursuant to licence dated 18 June 1892; EC of Kington, Gent., age 21 and upwards, a bachelor; and MW of Clifford, aged 21 and upwards a spinster. Edmund Cheese lived in 1804 at Ridgebourne; which was, till this date, known as Old Kington House: John Milward of Hay or possibly Benjamin Wishlade transformed the house: the influence of Nash is evident in the double pediment and recessed centre. "Cheese appears to have jacked up the ground floor of the old centre block to increase the ceiling height, and encased the beams in the study in Georgian plasterwork. He added two fine rooms on the ground and first floor, and a good staircase and hall. He was also responsible for creating the landscape immediately around the house in a Reptonian style." The house was sold on 18/10/1837. He died on 12 January 1812. He was buried at Kington, Herefordshire.

     Mary Cheese was baptized on 20 February 1723 at Lyonshall. She was the daughter of Edmund Cheese and Mary Muscott. Mary Cheese was living on 3 November 1739; mentioned in father's will of this date.

     Hannah Cheese was baptized on 31 October 1725 at Lyonshall; "Anne." She was the daughter of Edmund Cheese and Mary Muscott. Hannah Cheese was living on 3 November 1739.

     Samuel Cheese was baptized on 13 July 1739 at Lyonshall; 3rd son. He was the son of Edmund Cheese and Mary Muscott. Samuel Cheese was living on 3 November 1739.
