On 14 February 1737 her name was legally changed to Baroness Talbot. On 19 March 1761 her name was legally changed to Countess Talbot. Mary de Cardonnel died on 5 April 1787.

William Talbot 2nd Baron Talbot of Hensol (created E. Talbot and B. Dinevor) PC was Lord Steward of the Royal Household. As of 19 March 1761, William Talbot 2nd Baron Talbot of Hensol (created E. Talbot and B. Dinevor) PC was also known as Earl Talbot. He was Lord High Steward on 22 September 1761 at London. As of 1780, William Talbot 2nd Baron Talbot of Hensol (created E. Talbot and B. Dinevor) PC was also known as Baron Dynevor - with special remainder to his daughter, Lady Cecil Rice.
