     Ann Collins was born in 1722 at The Court, Stoke St. Milborough. She was the daughter of Thomas Collins Jr. and Elizabeth Grice. Ann Collins was baptized on 26 June 1722 at Stoke St. Milborough; (but the only Anne, d. of Thomas Collins in the IGI in Salop was baptised at Norbury, 14/3/1725 - daughter of Elizabeth). She married Edward Jeffries, son of Edward Jeffries, on 29 March 1749 at Stoke St. Milborough, Shropshire; by licence, dated the previous day, reciting that the groom was of Morvyll, Salop aged 30 (sic), a bachelor, intending to marry Anne Collins, 25, of Stoke St. Millborough, single woman.      Thomas Collins Jr. was baptized on 21 August 1689 at Wistanstow, Shropshire; (the most likely one in the IGI, son of Thomas). He was the son of Thomas Collins Snr.. Thomas Collins Jr. married Elizabeth Grice on 10 June 1718 at Chetton, Shropshire; Marriage bond entered into by Thos Collins Sr of Stoke St Milborough, Gent. and Thos Collins Jr of same parish, in respect of the latter (bachelor)'s marriage to Elize Grice of Chetton, Spinster. Thomas Collins Jr. lived circa 1722 at The Court, Stoke St. Milborough, Shropshire; 5 miles NE of Ludlow - now Stoke Court, SStM, Ludlow SY8 2EQ, the property of CT Whiteman & Son in May 03, at which stage a planning application was submitted. He died after 1722.

     Edward Jeffries was born on 11 July 1755. He was the son of Edward Jeffries and Ann Collins. Edward Jeffries was baptized on 5 August 1755 at Stoke St. Milborough. He married Ann Turberville on 28 April 1789 at Canon Pyon; by licence, saying the groom was of Lyonshall (Gent.) and the bride ("Ann Turbervile") of Canon Pyon (spinster). Edward Jeffries died on 10 April 1834 at The Sheriffs, Lyonshall, at age 78. He was buried on 15 April 1834 at Lyonshall. His estate was probated on 3 July 1834 at London.

     Ann Turberville was born on 7 July 1766 at Canon Pyon. She was baptized on 13 July 1766 at Canon Pyon. She married Edward Jeffries, son of Edward Jeffries and Ann Collins, on 28 April 1789 at Canon Pyon; by licence, saying the groom was of Lyonshall (Gent.) and the bride ("Ann Turbervile") of Canon Pyon (spinster). As of 28 April 1789,her married name was Jeffries. Ann Turberville died on 27 May 1841 at The Sheriffs, Lyonshall, at age 74. She was buried on 31 May 1841 at Lyonshall. Her estate was probated on 29 July 1842; (will proved by niece, AE Carpenter - £450).

     Thomas Jeffries Gent. was born on 12 May 1759 at Stoke St. Milborough. He was the son of Edward Jeffries and Ann Collins. Thomas Jeffries Gent. was baptized on 5 June 1759 at Stoke St. Milborough. He married Alethea Cheese, daughter of Edmund Cheese and Mary Harris, on 2 August 1792 at Lyonshall; described in the Cheese family pedigree as of "Sheriffs" (Lyonshall) - marriage by licence; described as "Gentleman" in father-inl-law's will. Alethea Cheese described as "of Castle Weir" by Edith Welch. Thomas Jeffries Gent. was Thos. Jeffries Jr. acknowledged indebtedness to Thos. Jeffries Sr. of £345.2.6d, witnessed by Edmund Cheese Jeffries on 27 May 1824. He inherited £500 from his brother Edward on his death in 1834. He was farmer and breeder of Hereford cattle in 1839. He died on 27 November 1839 at Church House, Lyonshall, at age 80; late of The Church House, according to the inscription on his son Thomas' tomb (TJ Jr. died Nov. 1843). The original Church House was 12th Century, but it was rebuilt in 1803. He was buried on 2 December 1839 at Lyonshall; His tombstone carries this wording: "This stone bespeaking in its very lowliness the meek acquiescence to the will of God [and] the kind benevolence to man of him that lies beneath marks out for fond affection the grave of Thomas Jeffries of Church House in this parish who died 27th November 1839 in the 81st year of his age also of kindred spirits Alethea his beloved wife who died on 20th March 1849 in her 80th year."

     Thomas Jeffries (Jr.) was an eminent breeder of Hereford cattle: the white face that Herefords are known for today was developed by him. He was born on 19 December 1796 at Pembridge. He was the son of Thomas Jeffries Gent. and Alethea Cheese. Thomas Jeffries (Jr.) was baptized on 27 March 1797 at Pembridge. He lived after 27 March 1797; Church House, and Cotmore, both in Lyonshall. He married Jane Meredith, daughter of John Meredith and Mary James, on 24 September 1822 at Kington; by licence. Thomas Jeffries (Jr.) was Thos. Jeffries Jr. acknowledged indebtedness to Thos. Jeffries Sr. of £345.2.6d, witnessed by Edmund Cheese Jeffries on 27 May 1824. He was in the voters lists in 1835 at Cotmore, Pembridge. Heappeared in the 1841 census at The Grove Farm. He died on 16 November 1843 at The Grove Farm, Pembridge, at age 46. He was buried on 21 November 1843 at Lyonshall, Herefordshire; His tombstone carries this wording: "Thomas Jeffries, late of The Sheriffs, second son of Thomas Jeffries of The Church House, died 16th November 1843 aged 40 (sic) and Jane his widow, died 8th June 1878 aged 75 (sic)." His estate was probated on 13 December 1844; will proved by Jane Jeffries, widow - £3000.0.0.

     Alethea Cheese was born in 1770 at Lyonshall; possibly 1769. She was the daughter of Edmund Cheese and Mary Harris. Alethea Cheese was baptized on 22 April 1770 at Lyonshall. As of circa 1790,her married name was Jeffries. She married Thomas Jeffries Gent., son of Edward Jeffries and Ann Collins, on 2 August 1792 at Lyonshall; described in the Cheese family pedigree as of "Sheriffs" (Lyonshall) - marriage by licence; described as "Gentleman" in father-inl-law's will. Jane Jeffries appeared in the household of Jane Jeffries in the 1871 census at Bickmarsh Hall, Welford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. Jane Meredith left a will on 15 August 1874 at Guildford. She died on 8 June 1878 at Rectory House, Dowles, Bewdley, Salop, Worcs., Staffs., at age 75; from Bright's Disease (2 months) & congestion of the lung (8 days): "Jefferies" on death cert. - aged 75 - death notified by AE Davis, granddaughter. She was buried after 8 June 1878 at Lyonshall; Her husband's tombstone carries this wording: "Thomas Jeffries, late of The Sheriffs, second son of Thomas Jeffries of The Church House, died 16th November 1843 aged 40 (sic) and Jane his widow, died 8th June 1878 aged 75 (sic)."      Edmund Cheese Jeffries was born on 23 March 1797. He was the son of Thomas Jeffries Gent. and Alethea Cheese. Edmund Cheese Jeffries was baptized on 28 April 1799 at Pembridge. He was farmer, and breeder of Hereford cattle circa 1820. He was Thos. Jeffries Jr. acknowledged indebtedness to Thos. Jeffries Sr. of £345.2.6d, witnessed by Edmund Cheese Jeffries on 27 May 1824. He married Mary Tench on 21 October 1828 at Bromfield, Shropshire. Edmund Cheese Jeffries died on 6 July 1836 at The Grove Farm at age 39. She married Edmund Cheese Jeffries, son of Thomas Jeffries Gent. and Alethea Cheese, on 21 October 1828 at Bromfield, Shropshire. As of 21 October 1828,her married name was Jeffries.

     Mary Anne Jeffries was born on 1 November 1823 at Kington; born "Lyonshall" according to the 1871 Census. She was the daughter of Thomas Jeffries (Jr.) and Jane Meredith. Mary Anne Jeffries witnessed the marriage of Peter Davis and Jane Jeffries on 30 January 1845 at Parish Church, Pembridge; by licence; the officiating minister being The Rev. William Lee, the bride's uncle by marriage, and the witnesses mostly being relations of the bride - her father's sister Mary Anne; her brother EJJ, and her mother's brothers John & Henry, brother-in-law John Morgan, and nieces Anna Maria Mitchell and Mary Ann Morgan - plus two called William and Jane, surnames illegible. The licence (dated 20 Jan. 45) says the groom was 33 and the bride 19, both of Pembridge parish, the bride's mother (a widow) consenting to the match. Mary Anne Jeffries married Charles Britten on 6 March 1848 at Staunton-on-Arrow, Herefordshire; The Rev. William Lee officiated, and Edward John Jeffries was a witness, as were four others. The groom, a bachelor, was of Byton, Herefs; the bride was of Staunton-on-Arrow, so perhaps living with Wm. Lee, the widower of her aunt Ann. The licence was dated 26 Feb. 1848, signed by the groom in a flowing and cultivated hand. Her married name was Britten. Mary Anne Jeffries lived on 6 December 1866 at The Woodhouse, Byton. She appeared in the 1871 census at Lower House, Stapleton Court Farm, Presteigne, Herefordshire; (Head: "Mary Ann" Britten, a widow, farmer of 544 acres (employing 11 men and 4 boys) a widow b Lyonshall and aged 47, living there with son William 22, brother-in-law Peter Davis (Farmer) married aged 60, his daughter Gertrude 23, and two other visitors and four servants). She died on 8 June 1880 at Rosehill, Lyonshall, at age 56.

Elizabeth Jeffries died after 1875 at Sherborne, Headless Cross, Redditch, Worcs..

     Henry Jeffries was born on 11 July 1833 at Herefordshire. He was the son of Thomas Jeffries (Jr.) and Jane Meredith. Henry Jeffries was baptized on 19 November 1833 at Lyonshall. He was chemist - even now there is a passageway alongside the shop called Jeffries Passage, refurbished in 1988 at 23 High Street, Guildford, Surrey. He married Emily Gilbart, daughter of Leggatt Gilbart, on 1 September 1864 at St. Peter's, Bayswater, London; by licence; the groom being resident in the parish of Holy Trinity, Guildford, aged 31, a bachelor, chemist, son of Thos Jeffries, Gent; and the bride being resident at 64 Pembridge Villas, aged 26, a spinster, no occupation, daughter of Leggatt Gilbart, Gent., the priest being The Rev. Ellis Lee. Henry Jeffries was surety for the administration of the estate of Peter Davis on 19 January 1874 at District Probate Registry, Birmingham; PD, late of Bickmarsh Hall, Welford, Warwickshire, Farmer, administratrix: Jane Davis of BH, widow (sureties: Henry Jeffries, 23 High St. Guildford, wholesale druggist, and John Davis of Grimley, farmer). He married Elizabeth Jeffries, daughter of Thomas Jeffries (Jr.) and Jane Meredith, on 27 November 1862 at Stoke North, Guildford; The groom, aged 37, a bachelor, farmer, of "Bedford" (sic - for "Bidford"), Warwick, son of Wm T, farmer; and the bride, 31, a spinster, no occupation, of Stoke, daughter of Thos J, Gent., married by The Rev. Ellis Lee in the presence of John Tipping, and Henry and Sarah Jane Meredith. William Tipping appeared in the 1871 census at Bidford-on-Avon; Wm Tipping, head, married, aged 45, b Aston Cantlow, farmer of 500 acres employing 15 men & 6 boys, with Elizabeth, wife, aged 38, b Pembridge, & 3 children all b Bidford, Wm Ernest, 5, John Jeffries, 3 & Henry Hubert 1, + governess, cook & housemaid. He died after 1875.

     Constance Tipping was Bridesmaid At Her Bro's Wedding. She was born after 1863. She was the daughter of William Tipping and Elizabeth Jeffries. Constance Tipping died after 1900.
